The Society of St. Vincent De Paul at St. Thomas the Apostle
It was a perfect day—filled with sunshine, laughter, and games for all ages, the perfect ingredients for a good time. Father Bob blessed the St. Vincent de Paul bricks in Birdie’s Garden, bringing a calm, meaningful pause to the day. It was a joyful blend of our Hispanic and English communities. The moment brought a sense of calm and reverence, reminding everyone present of the deep connection between faith, community, and the space we share. It was a lively and laid-back event where family enjoyed free food, soda, water, and live music.
Two food trucks were available which served tacos, hotdogs, and beer/wine for purchase. There were outdoor activities such as a bounce house, 40” slide with obstacle course, sack races, pie eating contest, balloon toss, face painting and ball/spoon race. It was a peaceful and fulfilling way to spend time-surrounded by family and people who share similar values.
