Please join our St. Thomas the Apostle Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor® Walk.

The Friends of the Poor® Walk is a national special event that was started eleven years ago to raise awareness and funds for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. We will be joining hundreds of other Friends of the Poor® Walks across the United States in an effort to eradicate poverty.

We would greatly appreciate your support!  

Registration is free.  Donations may be made on the day of the event or online using the sign up/registration link. Walkers are encouraged to collect pledges (fundraisers) from family and friends when registering. All proceeds benefit our St. Thomas Conference and support local families in need in the Crystal Lake community. Two weeks before we walk, you will have the opportunity after mass to participate in our raffle for a chance to win a gift basket or purchase a Friends of the Poor Walk® T-shirt.

Where: Three Oaks Recreation Area

5517 Northwest Hwy, Crystal Lake, IL 60014

Choose a 1 mile or 3.4 mile walk around the lake.
